Tambuwal wins PDP senatorial ticket for Sokoto South

Sokoto Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has been announced as a senator for the Peoples Democratic Party for Sokoto South.

Tambuwal wants to represent seven Local Government Areas on the Red Chamber by 2023.

The LGAs are Bodinga, Dange / Shuni, Kebbe, Shagari, Tambuwal, Tureta, and Yabo.

Auntyamebo blog reported that the governor, last week, resigned as deputy president Atiku Abubakar from the party’s first presidential post in Abuja.

Governor Tambuwal previously represented the Tambuwal / Kebbe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, where he rose to become Speaker of the House for a third term.

With the announcement, the governor will release it along with his incumbent, Senator Danbaba Dambuwa, who recently rejected the APC PDP.
