Inter Milan legend Christian Vieri has urged English Premier League side Liverpool to sign Victor Osimhen of Napoli as a replacement for Sadio Mane.
The man is heavily linked with a move away from Anfield and Bayern Munich where he could be.
Osimhen is also not someone he knows by conveying speculation that Nigerians are being linked with several European clubs ahead of next season.
Osimhen had a fantastic 2021/22 season in Naples, scoring 18 goals in 32 games in all competitions.
The 23-year-old was also named Italy’s Most Valuable Player in the Under-23 Series last season and has been one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers ahead of the transfer window with Arsenal believed to be the racemaker. Nigeria Nigeria.
According to calcionapoli24.it, an Italian book, Vieri believes Osimhen’s style fits the Premier League team and has urged the Reds to sign the Nigerian midfielder to replace Mane.
“When I’m in Liverpool I’ll find Osimhen from Napoli,” the Italian legend was quoted as saying.
“Everyone in Klopp’s team is running, going a thousand an hour, it would be great.”
Osimhen’s contract expires on June 30, 2025, although Napoli is said to be open to more than E110 proposals.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are set to sign the Lille striker.
