Kaduna: Group urges PDP gov candidate to pick lawmaker as running mate

The Southern Kaduna Concern Youth Group has asked the Peoples Democratic Party to manage the flagship administration in Kaduna State to nominate a representative for the Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sen. Danjuma La’ah, as his partner.

The Chairman of the Group, Mr. Samuel Adamu, in a statement issued in Kaduna on Thursday, said his election would ensure the party’s victory in the national election.

He explained that Senator La’ah, with the support of the lower castes in Southern Kaduna, would not in any way increase the chances of the party winning elections in Kaduna State.

Adam expressed his hope that Senator La’ah had been a loyal member of the party, serving in the Senate as the only PDP Senator in the Northwest, but declined to comment publicly at the All Progressives Congress despite threats.

The chairman pointed out that the only way the PDP can reward Senator La’ah’s loyalty to voting as Deputy Governor-General with Isah Ashiru Kudan in the 2023 elections.

However, he urged parishioners to continue rallying and campaigning for all candidates to win the by-elections.
