All Progressives Congress leader and presidential striker, Bola Tinubu, was investigated for his academic background and development plans in Nigeria by the party’s presidential evaluation panel on Monday.
Newsmen found the recorded videos at its show on Tuesday.
In these videos, Tinubu boasts of his plans in Lagos and how he has helped Nigeria develop its telecommunications sector.
He also defended why he was eligible to be president of Nigeria amid disputes over his age and background.
The selection panel was led by the party’s former national leader, Chief John Odigie.
Apart from Tinubu, 22 other presidential candidates will be shortlisted by the council in two days.
He told the team that there were three development roads that should be prioritized by Nigeria.
“There are three highways to national development. If you have gas or supply diesel, the transmission of electricity is also a highway and communication.
“I remembered that I had brought Eron to this nation. Communication is now a success today in Nigeria. I brought Econet. I helped them, now they want to use 5G, we have started it.
“Nigeria is rich. The context of our lives must be centered on short-term and medium-term values. They have to produce standards for us, ”he said.
The presidential candidate also commended the development of the Nigerian commodity market.
According to him, he has made representations to the State Government in this regard.
While urging Nigeria to “establish an exchange of goods”, he said, “Primary and secondary seedlings should not be undeveloped. Store your silos during all production, store your products in silo and dry, save surplus, you will never lose. ”
In a statement, the Director, Media and Communication, Tinubu Campaign Organization, Bayo Onanuga, said “Tinubu impressed the council during the evaluation process and provided insight into many of the questions asked.”
The statement read, “Some of the questions are based on his upbringing, education and professional background.
“He told the team with confidence why he was fit to fly the APC flag as a presidential candidate.
“He cited his success as governor of Lagos region, increasing government revenue from a small N600M every month, which has now grown to N51 billion today.
“He also extended his invitation to Enron to start producing the first government-sponsored electricity in Nigeria and talked about how Nigeria would need to treat power lines as a highway.
“In his responses, Tinubu has shown a great deal of knowledge in economic management and a full understanding of the Nigerian political economy.
“The audit committee expressed satisfaction with Tinubu’s knowledge of the economy and social issues affecting the country.”
