Syndicat National de l’Édition Phonographique (National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing), a professional French record label, announced this on their official Instagram page on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, Ckay’s song received a certificate after receiving an equal distribution of 30 million in France.
Ckay also shared an announcement on his Instagram page verified.
‘Emiliana’ had received a gold certificate in France in April after selling 100,000 units of song in the country.
The singer has already received a double platinum certificate in France for his hit song ‘Love Nwantiti’.
‘Love Nwantiti’ garnered over two billion views on TikTok and another 500 million on YouTube. The song was also charted on six continents, hitting number 1 in India, Norway, and Switzerland.
Ckay’s fans expressed disappointment last week when his hit songs, Emiliana and Love Nwantiti, did not make it to the 2022 Headies list.
However, the singer has promised his fans that his album, which is scheduled to be released later this year, will make history.
Three weeks ago, Ckay became the only Nigerian to make a list of 2022 Time’s Next Generation Leaders.
The list of Time’s Next Generation Leaders sees young people from all walks of life and around the world “working to build a better world”.
Time has described Ckay as one of the most successful African recording artists in the world.
