Buhari urges APC presidential aspirants to choose consensus candidate

The president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (back), late Saturday, called on the All Progressives Congress presidential candidates to consult with each other and nominate a candidate ahead of the party’s general presidential election on Monday, June 6, 2022.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser to Public Affairs and Public Affairs, Femi Adesina, Buhari spoke during a meeting with all APC presidential candidates at State House, Abuja.

The statement was entitled ‘President Buhari for aspiring APC presidents: consult, build consensus, and come up with an awesome person.’

According to Adesina, the President said the meeting is the second in a series of consultations with party stakeholders to ensure that the unity and cohesion of the party is maintained and provides direction.
