BREAKING: Nigeria record biggest win ever, thrash Sao Tome 10-0 in AFCON qualifier

The Super Eagles scored three points against ‘The Falcons and True Parrots’ of São Tomé and Príncipe at Grand Stade Agadir, also known as Adrar Stadium, on Monday.

The Nigerian team also scored all three points in a 2-1 win over Sierra Leone at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday.

On Monday, Victor Osimhen scored four goals to give the Super Eagles a stunning victory in their Day 2 match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Morocco.

Having collected three points, the Eagles are top of Group A.

Head coach Jose Peseiro said at the Airport Agadir Almarissa that joining ‘The Falcons and True Parrots’ would bring good to his team as they sought to climb to the top of Group A.

“We want to be a team at the top, so we have to fight hard against our opponents. Every game, we have to be fully committed to winning it. As I said earlier this week, Nigeria has great origins and has both quality and number of players. It is important that we always choose the best one so that we can win big games, ”he said.

Defender and vice-captain William Ekong and midfielder Innocent All returned to their respective England and France stadiums to deal with injuries sustained during the break.

Bonke was injured in a friendly match against Mexico in Dallas on May 28, and Ekong suffered a hip injury during a 2-1 defeat to Sierra Leone in Abuja on Thursday.
