Abductors of Methodist Prelate demand N100m

The kidnappers of the Prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Samuel Kanu-Uche, and two other pastors of the church reportedly demanded a ransom for N100m.

The LIB has previously reported that the Archbishop, the bishop of Owerri, Rt. Pastor Dennis Mark and Prelate’s Chaplain, were abducted at 7pm on Sunday May 29, on the Ihube-Leru-Isuochi road in the Umunneochi Local Government Area of ​​Abia State, as they exited a rally in council area.

The needs of the kidnappers have been revealed by the Secretary of the Conference, Rt. The pastor. (Dr.) Michael Akinwale.

The statement read as follows;

“The tragic news of the abduction of our Archbishop, Bishop of Owerri, and Priestate of Prelate has shocked everyone.

“This is a time of testing when the Church must proclaim that the ‘Lord who answers by fire’ must be our God in order to destroy all enemy tactics.

“Let us rise up and cry out to Jehovah!

“As we are fighting for Prayer Warfare, this is to inform you that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N100m.

“Given the urgency of the situation and the great need for state detention to protect our Bishop and other captives, it is imperative that you seek your immediate response to the N100m ransom.
