Zimbabweans Cutting off their toes and selling it for a living

Zimbabweans are reportedly cutting and selling their toes for $ 1,000 due to the high cost of living and the government’s failure to create jobs in the country.

According to social media reports, the big toes are priced at $ 40,000 (N16 million naira), while the smaller toes are priced at $ 20,000 (N8 million dollars). Toes can also be replaced with larger luxury cars.
A number of men were also recruited who appeared to be struggling to walk after selling toes at Ximex Mall in the capital.

South African lawyer and journalist Barry Roux also confirmed the report by posting a video of a struggling man showing off his luxury car after selling his toe.


He wrote: “In Zimbabwe people have started selling their toes for a thousand dollars or buying bigger cars due to the high cost of living and the government’s failure to create jobs.
