Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed optimism about the All Progressives Congress’ chances of winning the 2023 presidential election.
Saying this after a review by the APC Presidential Screening Panel on Tuesday.
Osinbajo, who spoke to the media shortly after the show, said the work was fruitful as well
He said, “We were able to discuss a few things; national and group issues; and it went very well; we had a great conversation.
“Yes, we are in front of any group; forward, APC ahead. ”
In addition to Osinbajo and former Lagos Regional Governor Bola Tinubu, other Senate Presidential candidates Ahmad Lawan and former ministers Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Godswill Akpabio, and Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.
The religious leaders also aspiring to be president are Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Ben Ayade (Cross River) and Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa).
Others are former Senate President Ken Nnamani, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, and senators working for Ibikunle Amosun, Ajayi Boroffice, and Rochas Okorocha.
Former presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari in 2011, Rev. Tunde Bakare, Uju Ken-Ohanenye, Nicholas Felix, Ahmad Rufai Sani, Tein Jack-Rich, Ikeobasi Mokelu are also expected to face the party’s presidential nomination team.
Earlier, Buhari met outside closed doors with members of the Progressives Governors Forum at Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.
However, Deputy President Osinbajo was not present at the meeting.
