North Korea accuses US of setting up Asian NATO

North Korea has accused the United States of establishing a military alliance like NATO in Asia.

According to the government, he was forced to build strong defenses because of US intent to oust Kim Jong Un.

North criticism comes amid concerns that it may be preparing for its first nuclear test in five years and following a recent agreement between South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and US President Joe Biden to invest more US weapons if it appears necessary to block the North.

“While participating in a joint military exercise with Japan and South Korea, the United States is making a concerted effort to establish a NATO-like Asia,” the North Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website on Sunday, June 26.

North  was referring to the latest military exercises carried out by US, South Korean and Japanese Asian troops.

The exercise involved a U.S. airliner, for the first time in more than four years.

North Korea, which has been conducting regular arrow tests this year, also said the tests were in preparation for a military coup.

The United States has insisted that North Korea drop its nuclear weapons and has repeatedly promised to meet with North Korean officials “at any time without conditions” to discuss the matter.

North Korea declined to comment.

The criticism of North Korea comes a day before the South Korean president travels to attend a NATO summit in Spain, the first South Korean leader to do so.

This proves the hypocrisy of the American term ‘communication communication’ and ‘unconditional dialogue’, while at the same time showing that there is no change in the American desire to overthrow our system, “the North Korean Ministry said.

“The truth … makes us feel the need to make every effort to develop a powerful force so that we can overcome all forms of hostility perpetrated by the United States,” he said.
