The leader of the Biafran indigenous people, Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the people of the Eastern region of Nigeria to expose those who commit crimes in their state.

Kanu said the killings and kidnappings should not be tolerated and urged residents to expose the perpetrators, rather than hide them.


Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, revealed this on Friday, June 3, after he and the Kanu legal team visited the IPOB leader at the State Services department, Abuja, on Thursday.

According to the statement, Kanu also urged his supporters to remain calm and focused as he reiterated that his freedom was at hand.


He also called on his lawyers to speed up the legal process “for the immediate release of Ms. Ejezie (Mama Biafra) who is currently being held in solitary confinement by the State Security Service.”

The statement reads in part:
