The blast took place in a crowded area near the former Akefe hotel on the Okepadi axis in Kabba on Sunday night, May 29.
This is the second outbreak in a single month. The first explosion occurred on May 11, at a liquor store near Leu Junction, killing two people.
Police said the incident was caused by a gas cylinder but members of the public including the families of the victims said it was a bomb blast.
The cause of the recent explosion is yet to be fully confirmed at the time of submission of this report.
State police spokesman SP William Aya confirmed the incident to the media on Monday, saying no arrests had been made.
PPRO reported that an explosion occurred at the Omofemi pub in Okepadi Quarters, Kabba, around 9.15pm on Sunday.
